What’s A Traffic Garden?

A Traffic Garden is a set of small-sized streets with scaled-down traffic features and urban elements where children and other new learners practice using streets and riding bikes in a place that is free from motor vehicles.  They can be permanent or temporary and conducted in or outdoors. They can also be used as conversation starters to advocate for safer walking/biking streets in your community.

What’s A Bike Rodeo?

A Bike Rodeo is an event. It may include a Traffic Garden. A Bike Rodeo can include helmet fittings and giveaways, repair stations, safety lectures, and other biking topics. It can be held as a standalone or at health fairs, back to school nights, etc. Traffic Gardens can be at an event or a semi-permanent/permanent course on a court, lot, or gym for everyday use.
