Healthy Schuylkill Communities mission is to increase access/consumption of healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity.
Healthy Schuylkill Communities Partnership With Lehigh Valley
This is a partnership with Lehigh Valley Healthy Network-Schuylkill in response to its Community Health Assessment that found poor nutrition choices and lack of exercise were important issues to address in the county.
HSC provides health and wellness programming/education in communities across Schuylkill County and online. Additionally, works with existing committees in Mahanoy City, Shenandoah, and Schuylkill Haven.
Countywide initiatives include Schuylkill on the Move, GooseChase, and Healthy Schuylkill Youth.
